1996 I started a long-term project that goes to the present. A narrow-band reception system was built for this purpose by Jeffrey Lichtmann. It operates in the 21 cm range and is suitable for receiving the hydrogen characteristic at 1421 Mhz. In the summer of 1996, a static reflector of 30 meters in diameter was built in the sculpture park Katzow (invitation by Thomas Radelhoff). The first construction of the 3 meter parabolic reflector made of aluminum took place during the ars electronica on the Vogegelände of Contained. This reflector could be moved in azimuth (180 degrees) and altitude (90 degrees) via DC motors.
